Foreigners staying in Vietnam for at least three-months, and upwards, are eligible to rent houses, according to the latest instructions from the Construction Ministry.
Those who wish to rent houses in Vietnam will need to show a residency permit, valid for at least three months, and their passports.
Without a residency permit, neither foreign individuals nor organizations are allowed to rent houses, said Nguyen Manh Ha, Head of the Real Estate Management Department under the Construction Ministry.
